“When I allow God to transform my heart, mind, and attitudes, I began to see my life and my circumstances from His point of view. As I adopt the mind of Christ (Philippians 2:5), God teaches me how to pray and what to pray for so my perspective and outlook on life can be radically transformed.” Stormie Omartian
The key truths of this lesson:
- Even thought we can never fully understand God, we can draw near to Him and know Him.
“Who can measure the wealth and wisdom and knowledge of God? Who can understand his decisions or explain what he does?” Romans 11:33
- No matter how broken we are, God is able and ready to restore and renew us.
“Wash me with hyssop until I am clean
and whiter than snow.” Psalm 51:7
- We can draw near to God by spending time with Him, asking Him to cleanse our hearts and help us understand His Word.
“If we say that we have not sinned, we are fooling ourselves, and the truth isn't in our hearts. But if we confess our sins to God, he can always be trusted to forgive us and take our sins away. If we say that we have not sinned, we make God a liar, and his message isn't in our hearts.” 1 John 1:8-10
